ILL.SAN (aka Samuel Davenport)
The Illustrious Sanguine, also known as Samuel Davenport, is a cyberweird comics artist and illustrator, weaponizing horror and surrealism to demolish normative social machines. Through visions from the dystopian alternate universe of ELDERNET, he exposes the occult monstrosity that has hijacked human society to its apocalyptic ends. His work sprawls across centuries and realities, from the 2020 onset of the COVID-19 pandemic to a future in which a dimension of virtual simulation has completely overcoded the material reality that gave rise to it. Each installment examines the processes of technological automation and simulation through their uncanny, horrific manifestations, confronting a society and an audience dependent on cybernetic software with the true nature of that software.
