Statement
Sam Angel’s work explores topics of vulnerability, the human experience, and connections found in the everyday and the unseen natural world. Through use of long exposure photographic techniques and alternative process printing, her photographs investigate new ways of seeing unmonumental phenomena such as snow, moths flying, or repeating patterns in nature. Angel creates handmade artist books alongside photographic prints regarding photographs as objects of contemplation.
